In this tutorial I'll tell you some solutions I've found to this problem.
Workaround 1:
Make sure that while you are updating, your antivirus is turned off, and also all antispyware software that you have are turned off (Malwarebytes, Windows Defender, etc.).
Also, make sure that any firewall you may have isn't blocking the connection of these programs:
csgo_launcher.exe
csgo.exe
Loader.exe
You can either turn off your firewall completely before & while updating, or add these programs to have allowed connection:
[cs go warzone folder]\csgo_launcher.exe
[cs go warzone folder]\csgo.exe
[cs go warzone folder]\Loader.exe
Delete all .json files from game folder (they look like this: update-1.23.4.5.json (example)), then run launcher as administrator and try updating again.
Add game folder to the Antivirus and Antispyware softwares' exceptions.
Workaround 2:
Make sure that the Hard Drive CS GO WarZone is installed on ISN'T FULL. If it is nearly full, the update may fail.
What you can do:
1. Free up some space on that particular hard drive;
2. Try completely deleting CS GO off that hard drive, and re-installing it on another that isn't full.
Hope this helped you. Leave replies if you have any problems.
