Help Can't update

When i start up the launcher it says "New game version is available! Press Update to get new version" well i have been trying to update it for the pastt 30 mins and every time it says : "Game update failed. please try again." and if i press play it says no steam_appid.txt game might not launch corectly n i get another error.
Basically nothing is working
please fix ur launcher
 
run as admin
 
show me a error or anything what it says when u hit update
